  We're all interested in that publication Fisherman. Not that it matters because the only proper way of interpreting the Constitution is to apply it to everyone equally. The same constitution used to allow slavery. That was changed. The basic principle comes down to whether gays have the moral right to be like everyone else and they do. That supersedes any abstract question of constitutionality.

  It means that she doesn't consider other Christians to be real Christians. These fundies have a saying amongst themselves: "The right kind of Christian".

  Coco, you have to remember that the edit function has an exasperating quirk. If you open edit for the second time it goes back to the first pre-edited entry.

  Just copy the post you first made and when you go into the edit function eliminate the text and paste what you copied. Then you can make your changes.

  I know, it sounds confusing even to me.

  I think that emphasis should be on the scriptures that Kim Davis holds up to be her authority rather than what she did before her conversion.

  Simply ask her if she's willing to give a rapist who's forced to wed his victim a marriage license . When she answers no, if she answers at all, then quote Deuteronomy 22:28-29 which says:

  "28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives." - Deuteronomy 22:28-29 New International Version

  When she gives her excuse for not applying that scripture accuse her of being a hypocrite who wants to pick and choose whatever scripture she feel's like applying.

  "Strange how each religion or grouping of similar faiths has its distinctive jargon and identifying marks."

  Differences in beliefs will create different jargon to state their differing ideas. Even if two groups are identical to each other they may evolve different phrases for the same thing due to their isolation from each other. That would be equivalent to genetic drift where one species develops different genes from her sister species in another continent.

  As you Co co are well aware, language is fluid and changes within time and region. Example, British and American English.

  i think that it's possible that they're getting ready to issue a new end time date insinuation like they did with 1975. now i know what some of you are probably thinking: why would they be so stupid as to repeat such a mistake, knowing what happened in 1975?

  well here're two reasons why i think they could do it:.

  I was in the JWs in the mid 70s and I know for a fact that they stated that the Great Tribulation/Armageddon would occur within a few months or years of 1975.

  I distinctly remember going to a special talk given by Fred Franz in which he gave explicit detail to the 1975 doctrine. I was recording that talk and I now wish I knew were that tape cassette is at.
